Overview
xCORE Talk is Plus Impact's real-time, voice-driven AI interview and 1-on-1 conversation product. It lets a user have a natural, spoken conversation with an AI interviewer instead of filling out a form or reading from a script.
What I built
- Full-stack features across Next.js (web client) and Node.js/NestJS (API and orchestration layer).
- LLM-powered conversational flows with prompt tuning for adaptive interview sessions, so the conversation adjusts based on the candidate's previous answers.
- Real-time voice interaction using WebSocket connections, paired with Speech-to-Text and Text-to-Speech pipelines to keep the conversation feeling natural and low-latency.
- Relational data models in PostgreSQL, using Knex.js and Drizzle ORM.
- Infrastructure on AWS (S3 for storage, SES for email, Amplify for hosting, CloudWatch for observability), with Redis for caching and session state.
